Welcome to YouClip. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.


1.0 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using YouClip (“the App”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.


2.0 Description of Service

YouClip is an iOS app that generates AI summaries of YouTube videos. The App uses:

  • Apple Intelligence (on-device) for default summaries
  • An optional cloud summarization tier (YouClip Pro) relayed through our EU backend
  • YouTube’s public APIs to fetch transcripts and comments
  • Local device storage (SwiftData, Keychain, UserDefaults) for your history and preferences
  • Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage metrics
  • Apple’s StoreKit for in-app purchases


3.0 Eligibility

YouClip requires:

  • iOS 26 or later
  • An iPhone compatible with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer) for on-device summaries


4.0 User Account and Data

4.1 No Account Required

YouClip does not require you to create an account. All your history, transcripts, and summaries are stored locally on your device.

4.2 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your device
  • Any decisions you make based on AI-generated content
  • Ensuring that your use of YouTube content through the App complies with YouTube’s own Terms of Service


5.0 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

5.1 Accuracy

Summaries, quizzes, flashcards and other AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should verify any important information with the original source.

5.2 Not Professional Advice

AI outputs from YouClip do not constitute legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.


6.0 Content from Third Parties

6.1 YouTube Content

YouClip fetches publicly available transcripts and comments from YouTube. All video content, including transcripts and comments, remains the property of its original creators and YouTube. YouClip does not claim any ownership over third-party content.

6.2 Your Compliance with YouTube Terms

You agree to use the App only with YouTube content that you are authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with YouTube’s Terms of Service and with applicable copyright laws.


7.0 In-App Purchases (YouClip Pro)

7.1 Subscription

YouClip offers an optional Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited Apple Intelligence summaries, cloud summarization, advanced summary modes, comment analysis, and the audio player.

7.2 Billing

  • Purchases are billed through your Apple ID account
  • Payment is charged at the time of purchase confirmation
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time via your Apple ID settings

7.3 Refunds

All purchases are handled by Apple. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly.


8.0 Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

YouClip and its original content, features, and design are owned by SixtyEdge and protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Data

You retain all rights to your history and personal data stored locally in YouClip.


9.0 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Use the App to infringe copyright or any third-party rights
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with the App’s functionality or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its backend
  • Use automated means to generate excessive requests


10.0 Third-Party Services

10.1 Apple Services

The App integrates with Apple’s services (App Store, StoreKit, Apple Intelligence). Your use of these services is subject to Apple’s terms.

10.2 Google Services

The App relies on YouTube’s public APIs, Google Cloud Functions, Firebase Analytics and a third-party AI provider. Your interaction with these services is subject to Google’s terms.


11.0 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

YouClip is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI summaries will be accurate or complete
  • YouTube transcripts will always be available for every video
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The App is free of viruses or harmful components

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.


12.0 Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the App or any feature at any time
  • Update these Terms of Use
  • Change in-app purchase pricing


13.0 Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.


14.0 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved in the competent courts of Paris, France.
